More than two decades ago, SKYGEN USA’s leadership team set out to transform the way specialty benefits are delivered. Their plan was straightforward: Drive change by leveraging emerging technology to generate the lowest possible administrative cost, and by delivering 24/7 access to critical, filterable information essential to effectively managing healthcare benefit costs.
SKYGEN USA’s leadership team began with Medicaid dental benefit administration and the development of customized technology, now known as Wonderbox Technologies’ Enterprise System. Their firm, Doral Dental USA became one of the largest dental management companies in the nation before its sale to DentaQuest Ventures. With the tremendous success of the software platform, the team expanded Wonderbox Technologies and their benefit management services to support additional lines of business and a wider range of healthcare payers, managed care organizations, and delivery systems.

Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
Craig Kasten leads SKYGEN USA in bringing next-generation claims management and technology tools together for healthcare organizations interacting with benefits. Mr. Kasten is an accomplished leader whose career in the managed healthcare industry spans 30 years. He is the founder or co-founder of several SKYGEN USA companies, including Wonderbox Technologies, Scion Dental, Vestica Healthcare, and American Therapy Administrators. He also co-founded Doral Dental USA and grew the company to a market-dominant position before its sale to DentaQuest Ventures.
Mr. Kasten continues to provide vision, strategic direction and creative support for functional design innovations to the Enterprise System, Wonderbox Technologies’ proprietary benefit management platform. He also provides oversight and strategic direction for new service innovations for Scion Dental and Vestica Healthcare.
Prior to launching his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Kasten served concurrently as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of CareNetwork, Inc., a publicly traded regional health plan later acquired by Humana. Mr. Kasten holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
Mr. Kasten was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2003. In 2005, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus by the Marquette University School of Business Administration.
Co-Founder and Owner
Known as an innovator in the benefit management industry, Greg Borca has co-founded and led several successful companies, including Doral Dental USA, Scion Dental, and Vestica Healthcare. As Co-Founder and Owner, Mr. Borca is responsible for the overall direction and growth of the SKYGEN USA Family of Companies.
Mr. Borca’s business experience and leadership expertise have enabled him to pioneer more effective strategies for benefit management. By pairing state-of-the-art technology with innovative business models, he has drastically reduced costs while improving the overall experience for members and providers. He has also driven the creation of innovative outreach tactics that increase member access to care. The SKYGEN USA companies under Mr. Borca’s leadership have expanded rapidly into positions of market leadership.
Mr. Borca’s entrepreneurial career began when he founded Resolute Systems, Inc., a national mediation and arbitration company. Before he partnered with Mr. Kasten to create Doral Dental, one of the largest benefit management companies in the U.S., he also founded Mednet of America, Inc.
Mr. Borca holds a Bachelor’s in Organization and Leadership from Marquette University. He formally served on the national board for Voices for America’s Children, an organization that advocates for the well-being of children at the federal, state and local levels of government.
Mr. Borca was named an Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 by Ernst & Young. In 2004 he was named on The Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list. In 2011 he received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from Marquette University’s College of Professional Studies.
Chief Growth Officer
As SKYGEN USA’s Chief Growth Officer, Lance Stewart is a champion for the company’s technology-enabled solutions, bringing new and innovative products and services to existing clients and markets as well as exploring new opportunities created by the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. He is focused on helping payers and delivery systems transform their organizations by taking advantage of everything from large enterprise administration and technology initiatives to individual point solutions that solve specific needs. With his strong commitment to exemplary client service and collaborative approach to both internal and external relationships, Mr. Stewart has a demonstrated ability to help players in the healthcare continuum grow their businesses while reducing costs, improving operations, and serving their members more effectively.
Mr. Stewart has an extensive background in helping organizations add new customers, enter new markets, and launch new products and services. He joins SKYGEN USA from Medecision, a leading software as a service (SaaS) population health and risk management company, where he was Senior Vice President and Market President. Prior to that, he held positions as Vice President at GNS Healthcare; Vice President, Healthcare Payers, Providers, and Infomediaries at eMids Technologies; and Senior Sales Executive at McKesson Health Solutions.
Mr. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Tulsa. He has also served in leadership roles for multiple healthcare associations, such as America Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and HIMSS, to drive improvements and innovation across payers, providers, and their constituencies.
Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development for SKYGEN USA, Mark Borca is the initial point of contact for new clients and prospects, with responsibility for ensuring clients understand the synergies and other advantages to be gained by working across the full spectrum of the SKYGEN USA family of companies. He is also responsible for making current clients aware of new product offerings that will help them increase revenue, become more efficient, and serve their members more effectively.
Mr. Borca’s 20 years of experience in benefit management, with a specialty in government programs that includes provider network contracting, client management, provider compensation, and risk management strategies, gives him a unique understanding of the challenges clients face in an evolving healthcare market. Additionally, the extensive knowledge and experience he has accumulated about Medicaid managed care programs, both at SKYGEN USA and previously at Doral Dental, makes him an invaluable asset throughout the business development cycle.
Over the past 20 years, Mr. Borca has proven his ability to deliver results across a variety of roles. It is what makes him ideally suited to working as a strong advocate for both SKYGEN USA and its clients.
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer for SKYGEN USA, Linda Bernier leads the marketing organization in continuing to position the company as an industry leader in driving results and innovation in health benefits technologies and solutions. An accomplished senior leader with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and technology organizations, she is responsible for setting SKYGEN USA’s go-to-market strategy for corporate and product marketing, overseeing its execution, and establishing processes to measure and improve customer satisfaction. She is also a driving force in uniting the company’s formerly separate product and solution offerings under a singular SKYGEN USA brand, a move that will make it easier for clients to take full advantage of the depth and breadth of the company’s capabilities to help them drive down costs while ensuring healthier outcomes for all Americans.
Ms. Bernier joins SKYGEN USA from Welltok where she was the Market Executive responsible for driving government and commercial market segments in a highly scalable way to meet unique population health management goals. Prior to that position, she was Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Communications for TriZetto, a Cognizant Company, where she led corporate marketing, product marketing, and the overall voice of client program. Previously, she was the General Manager for Oracle (Siebel) Healthcare, where she was responsible for building the company’s healthcare vertical. She also held roles as the Vice President, Strategic Development for Premera Blue Cross, and as a top-level manager for Deloitte Consulting in their healthcare practice.
Ms. Bernier holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School with concentrations in Healthcare Management and Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Steven J. Berryman
Chief Legal Officer
As Chief Legal Officer in a highly-regulated industry, Steven J. Berryman has responsibility for leading all legal and compliance functions across SKYGEN USA. He is responsible for ensuring the company maintains a world-class legal function, including commercial contracting, protection of intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and service delivery as well as upholding SKYGEN USA’s core values.
Mr. Berryman brings more than two decades of award-winning legal and management experience to his role. Prior to joining SKYGEN USA, he spent 20 years at Quarles & Brady LLP, an AmLaw 200 Law Firm, the last 12 of which were as an Equity Partner. During that time, he represented numerous Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S. in legal matters addressing complex contract and commercial issues, intellectual property, antitrust, product distribution and marketing, trade secret, and unfair competition. Personal accolades include being named as a top rated attorney by Benchmark, Super Lawyers, and other industry groups. Following law school, he served as Law Clerk for a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Mr. Berryman earned his JD from Northwestern University School of Law. As an undergraduate he received his BA from the University of Nebraska with a triple major in Philosophy, Political Science, and English Literature. He also holds a Certificate in Executive Management from the Notre Dame School of Business.
Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Robert Bilsborough leads the Human Resources function for the SKYGEN USA family of companies. Mr. Bilsborough sets the company’s Human Resources strategy including talent management, organization effectiveness, leadership development, employee engagement, company values, and compensation and benefits.
Mr. Bilsborough is a human resources executive with more than 25 years of experience including significant global experience in growth oriented engineering and technology companies. He is experienced in leading all aspects of the Human Resources function including: business partners, centers of expertise, and HR operations. Prior to joining SKYGEN USA, Mr. Bilsborough led the Human Resources practice of the Vx Group. He also served in senior Human Resources positions at Rockwell Automation, Inc., where he was the vice president Human Resources Control Products & Solutions segment, vice president Human Resources Global Sales & Marketing, and also served as the vice president Compensation, Benefits and HR Business Services.
Mr. Bilsborough serves on the Board of Directors for the Ozaukee Ice Center.
Mr. Bilsborough earned his Masters of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University in Canada and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University in Canada.
Chief Technology Officer and President of Wonderbox Technologies
As Chief Technology Officer and President of Wonderbox Technologies, Darrin Haehle ensures that the Enterprise System, the company’s flagship product, remains a premier benefit management platform for all segments of the health benefits industry. He oversees company operations, including technology research, software design and development, quality assurance and system deployments.
Mr. Haehle brings more than 15 years of managed healthcare experience and over 25 years of systems design experience to his role, including designing and developing custom software applications and web-based benefit management software systems. Prior to his role with Wonderbox Technologies, Mr. Haehle held a number of progressively more responsible positions with Doral Dental, including Director of Application Development and CIO. While at Doral, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s software application to support daily operations, supervised and supported all technology related personnel and activities, and provided on-site support and service for clients.
Mr. Haehle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
James (Jamie) Purko
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, James Purko brings more than 20 years of experience to SKYGEN USA where he is responsible for ensuring the company operates at peak financial performance so it continues to deliver innovative, industry-leading, technology-enabled benefit solutions to the company’s clients. He and his team are charged with establishing and reporting key financial and operational metrics, deepening the company’s commitment to delivering ROI to its clients.
Mr. Purko most recently was Chief Financial Officer at Connecture, Inc., a web-based consumer shopping, enrollment, and retention company for health insurance distribution. Prior to joining Connecture, he was Vice President and CFO at HK Systems, Inc., and worked in public accounting as an Audit Manager for Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Mr. Purko is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin. He is personally active in ensuring the quality of and access to healthcare for children, serving as a member of the Systems Board of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin as well as the Board of Children’s Community Health Plan.
Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Michelle Spencer leads the team responsible for ensuring the Enterprise System is optimized to its fullest advantage for all clients. She ensures client implementations and software platform upgrades are handled smoothly, providing seamless transitions for members, providers and clients. She is also a key participant in strategic planning for the company's continued growth.
Ms. Spencer brings a wealth of experience in the health benefits industry to SKYGEN USA. Previously employed by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and a leading national managed care company, she gained invaluable experience in the areas of system conversions and financial audits. With her knowledge of computer systems and finance, Ms. Spencer has proven to be a strong and versatile team leader.
Ms. Spencer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business with majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a Certified Public Accountant, she also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Client Experience Executive
As Client Experience Executive, Teresa Velk is accountable for client satisfaction and retention of all clients across the SKYGEN USA family of companies. She leads a talented team of Relationship, Service and Account Managers who own the client relationships for all SKYGEN USA companies. Ms. Velk’s experience includes planning and delivering complex solutions for Fortune 500 companies aspiring to integrate business and technology for sustainable results. Ms. Velk delivers the highest level of client satisfaction by leveraging best practices in strategic planning, program and project management, process design, and systems implementation.
Ms. Velk brings more than 25 years of strategic planning and business management experience to her role. She has consulted on strategic planning, program management and process improvement across multiple industries. Prior to joining SKYGEN USA, Ms. Velk served as Director at Experis, Manpower Group, where she developed and managed a consulting practice focused on high client satisfaction and second-to-none quality results. She has contributed to the success of Fortune 500 companies and large consulting firms including Andersen Consulting, where she was a Senior Manager, and Bank of America, where she served as Senior Vice President of Business Improvement.
Ms. Velk holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a volunteer advocate for Vision Forward, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals impacted by vision loss. She previously volunteered for Mentoring USA, where she closely mentored a disadvantaged student from elementary school through college. Ms. Velk has also given her time to Best Buddies of WI, where she assisted with the annual benefit, and National Down Syndrome Society, where she chaired the annual Woman’s Luncheon to raise funds for research.
Executive Director, SKYGEN International Foundation
Lisa Sweeney is the Executive Director of the newly formed SKYGEN International Foundation, which is focused on finding cost effective ways to improve healthcare in underserved parts of the world by using emerging technology. In this role, she is charged with developing all operations from the ground-up. The Foundation’s first initiative is generating the funding to train local care teams to use the latest mobile diagnostic equipment to test the vision of children in Africa as well as to obtain and send eye glasses to those children.
Ms. Sweeney moved into the charitable practice of SKYGEN USA after contributing to the success of the corporate side for more than 16 years, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer. During that time, she also led Ocular Benefits, SKYGEN USA’s vision benefits management organization, as well as making contributions in a variety of functional areas including operations, quality, cost containment, compliance, facilities, and human resources. Prior to joining SKYGEN USA, she was Finance Director – Procurement for CNH, a global leader in the capital goods sector, and Cost Accounting Manager at EZ Paintr. Ms. Sweeney began her career as an Auditor at KPMG US.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager, Ms. Sweeney holds a Master of Business Administration and Management from Marquette University, as well as Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The creation of divisions also opens up the ability for customers to be exposed to services of other companies within the family. For example, an insurer leveraging Scion Dental for dental administration may also look to optimize a BPO partner for medical administration. Therefore, Vestica Healthcare may be considered. Another example: An insurer leveraging Ocular Benefits for vision administration may decide to, one day, in-source vision administration and may need a software platform to manage the in-sourced administration.
