SKYGEN USA Enhances Usability, Reporting, and Security in Its Wonderbox Technologies Enterprise System Version 6.4 Release

New functionality in industry-leading benefit management platform helps payers and providers work more efficiently to improve service while reducing costs

MEQUON, WI – April 18, 2017 - Recognizing the need for healthcare payers and providers to work more efficiently and collaboratively in order to control the skyrocketing cost of care, Wonderbox Technologies, an agile, innovative software firm that is part of the SKYGEN USA family of benefit solutions companies, today announced the release of Version 6.4 of its Enterprise System benefit management platform.

This latest version of its industry-leading software continues to advance what is possible in critical areas such as usability, reporting, and security, helping payers evolve to become 21st century cyber benefits organizations. These are organizations that leverage technology to create unprecedented levels of program efficiencies and an information-rich environment to produce the highest outcomes for all players in the continuum.

As part of its continuing focus on ensuring the Enterprise System offers unmatched ease of use, SKYGEN USA has made several enhancements to Version 6.4. A complete overhaul of the Member Administration Portal (MAP) improves the user experience for employer groups by simplifying workflows, such as reducing the number of clicks required to complete various tasks. The MAP also adds the ability for one administrator to support several employer groups at once with a single login rather than having to log in to each group separately, saving time and administrative burden.

Version 6.4 placed specific focus on streamlining vision benefits as well. Configuration and data management have been streamlined, making it easier for payers to set up their benefit programs. Additionally, when members call or go online to check on their remaining benefits for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, the benefits are now calculated by the same logic used to process claims. This update ensures information available across the system is accurate up to the minute and down to the penny.

Another enhancement is a new “ready to bill” audit feature in the Premium Billing Module that automatically checks invoices for accuracy before payers submit them. This functionality gives payers the opportunity to make corrections, helping them get paid faster while maintaining positive relations with their clients.

Among the reporting enhancements included in Version 6.4 is a new, user-configurable, self-service patient access dashboard that enables payers to search specific populations with certain attributes over a given time period to determine whether they are accessing particular benefits. For example, a payer can check how many patients age 0-18 in a particular plan located in a specific region took advantage of preventive services. This capability enables payers to craft benefit plans based on usage and demand. It also helps them determine the effectiveness of programs such as education to encourage more preventive care in order to avoid higher-cost services later. Additionally, a completely redesigned communications dashboard makes it easier to view all member communications. It offers these same capabilities for communications with providers as well.

In addition to those enhancements, Version 6.4:

  • Increases security measures to safeguard protected health information
  • Creates greater flexibility in defining and managing password policies, including how often passwords can or should be changed, or control over when users may “recycle” passwords used previously
  • Offers configurable functionality to require members to verify whether or not they have other insurance in the Member Web Portal if desired
  • Enables providers to enter and manage their own electronic funds transfer information in the secure Provider Web Portal rather than submitting it to the payer for data entry
