SKYGEN Enterprise System Upgrades Connect Dental Industry

Menomonee Falls, Wis., December 1, 2020 – SKYGEN, a leading healthcare software as a service (SaaS) provider, announces that the latest version of their Enterprise System now provides one-click access to clearinghouses to view images during claims and authorization processing. In addition, it allows for real-time processing of claims and predeterminations – thus, increasing connectivity and saving dental payers and providers time and money.

While the pandemic has affected most every industry all over the world, the dental industry has been hit significantly. From March to May more than 97 percent of practices closed, except to see emergency patients, per a recent survey by the Health Policy Institute (HPI) and the American Dental Association (ADA). And while patient volumes have increased, they remain 20 percent below pre-COVID numbers.

SKYGEN Enterprise System’s latest upgrades improve efficiencies for payers and revenue flow for providers, helping both maintain strong business operations during a time of reduced patient volume. It does so by providing payers (operations and dental consultants) with one-click access to review images from four national clearinghouses. In addition, SKYGEN now offers an application programming interface (API) that allows for real-time processing. Payers can now bring this functionality into their provider portals for instant processing of claims and predeterminations – and they are accurate, not estimates. Dentists can now seek payment up front allowing dentists to manage their revenue better, which is extremely important during these challenging times.
